Beginning and Ending of an Encounter
Begins with an Initiative Roll (Which will be done by a Bard). Take a d20 and roll it for each player playing. The player with the highest number goes first descending to the lowest number.
The encounter ends when either the PCs or NPCs are dead or have fled.
An Encounter
An encounter is seperated by turns. Turns are seperated by rounds.
Turn
The rounds are not specific by order, and can be done in any order the player wants. Except for counter actions. Bards will decide the turn order of npcs. Each round can only be taken once, and only on your turn.
Deciding Actions: Determine what you want your character to do.
Movement: How far from or close to combat do you want to be?
Combat: The main mass of what happens. Who do you attack? What do you attack with? How do you do it?
Counter Action: Decides if you are able to counter something on another's turn. Counter Actions cannot be used by the player, they are activated when the right situation presents itself.
End turn
Ego Pool
Depending on how many awesome points the Bards award you with is equal to how many dice you can roll for skills, attack roll, whatever. Once you use them they are gone, and you have to wait to build them up again.
Dice:
These are the 3 types of dice that this game uses.
D8 - Skill Check
D10
D20
Once you tell a Bard how many awesome points you want to use for a specific roll, then they will deduct your awesome points, and roll it for you.
So let us say you want to spend 1 awesome point on a D8, that would be 1D8 and would only let you roll one. So if you spend 3 awesome points, you get to roll 3 D8s.
Awesome Points
These points are not without there drawbacks. The maximum number of dice you can roll is 5, and comes with its own price.
1 Awesome Point = 1 roll
7 Awesome Points = 2 rolls
25 Awesome Points = 3 rolls,
60 Awesome Points = 4 rolls
100 Awesome Points = 5 rolls
Dealing Damage to Health and Mana:
When damage is dealt to your character it takes away from your characters health and mana (if they have any).
Skills
D8s are used for skills.
Skill Check: A skill check determines if you can or can't do something. To make a skill check roll a D8 with whatever your skill level is.
Skill Successes
Skill Level 1: A 3 or more is a sucess.
Skill Level 2: An 4 or more is a sucess.
Skill Level 3: 6 or more is a sucess.
Skill Level 4: 7 or more is a sucess.
Skill Level 5: 10 or more is a sucess.
Skill Level 6: 13 or 14 is a sucess.
